This log approach is a way to start again with a website for a modem festival. The text makes it more likley to get a response so much of it will be in the form of questions or requests for help.

The idea started partly to link some content to PDF. Since 1996 there is now a lot more stuff as PDF on the web but still scope for more links to archives. In Exeter web animation is now an accepted part of the animation festival so this aspect will grow. Stuff in PDF format will support this. Not sure how this will balance.

One idea to show off PDF was as a medium for scripts, starting with 'Another Lost Weekend' (link will follow later). Something new could be a remake of Rosalie Goes Shopping (1989) reset in Stuttgart Germany. The first script was partly about showing a shared US / European culture and claiming some of Billy Wilder as European. Others share this as well but he was clearly the model for the director who might reveal where the European Union could target German language cinemas inside America.

Unfortunately Billy Wilder has died so will not be able to help with a rewrite on the Rosalie script. There may not be much wrong with it anyway. However getting finance for a remake might be easier with some referenced argument on how Billy Wilder might have improved it. Any suggestions would be welcome.

The current Modem Festival site is at Acrobat Services.com http://www.acrobat-services.com

You have to struggle past the Flash introduction to get to the PDF but it should not take long
